Margaret Jean Bernstein
Margaret Jean Bernstein is an award-winning flutist, songwriter and educator internationally known for her “Socially Awakened Songs and Uplifting Instrumental Compositions”.
Margaret Jean is the founder of Growing Azalea Music Productions, a music publishing company and independent record label promoting her original music; Azalea Blossom, Incorporated, a 501(c)3 educational non-profit organization; and the SAFE through the Arts program.



Music
Margaret’s music consists of performances and recordings through her publishing and production company, Growing Azalea Music. Her catalog of recorded material includes five fully produced solo albums in addition to a children’s album and many original songs. She is an international performer currently performing with her ensemble, Beguine, and with her Bricks band.

Non-Profit
Margaret Jean is the Executive Director and founder of Azalea Blossom, Incorporated; a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization. Azalea Blossom’s main projects are the Bricks in the Wall Domestic Violence awareness project; and SAFE through the Arts bullying prevention program, which Margaret created to empower young children from underprivileged communities.



Education
Margaret’s current primary role as an educator is as the Program Director and Lead Instructor of the SAFE through the arts bullying prevention program. She holds permanent public school teaching certifications in vocal and instrumental music (N-12) and multi-subject classroom teaching (PreK-6) from New York State and continues to teach private lessons in flute, piano and songwriting.
